Every role at Joseph & Esther Homes exists for one reason: the people who live here. Skilled clinical care, meals worth sitting down to, a home that is safe and properly kept, and days in which residents feel cared for and valued. The job titles differ. The standard does not.
We have started hiring now because getting this right takes time. Every appointment goes through several rounds of interviews, because the difference between adequate care and excellent care is almost always the person delivering it.

Resident Coordinator
Role purpose
The Resident Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and incoming residents, guiding them through the emotional and practical journey of transitioning into the community.
As part of a growing organisation, the successful candidate must be comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple responsibilities and helping to establish effective systems and processes for residents' end-to-end experience.
Receptionist
Role purpose
The Receptionist provides high-quality front-of-house and administrative support to the team. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors and external partners, this role is vital in maintaining a warm, professional and organised experience from initial enquiry through day-to-day interactions.
This is a multifaceted role that manages reception operations, coordinates enquiries, supports teams and assists with basic facilities management to ensure J&E Homes remains welcoming, safe and orderly.
Chef
Role purpose
This role is crucial in ensuring our residents enjoy mealtimes as food directly impacts both physical health and emotional wellbeing. It is particularly important for older people.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead kitchen matters, the catering team and deliver a high-quality dining experience for our residents.
You will prepare nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced meals, tailored to residents' individual dietary needs and preferences. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining excellent standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.
Assistant Chef
Role purpose
This role is crucial in ensuring our residents enjoy mealtimes as food directly impacts both physical health and emotional wellbeing. This is particularly important for older people.
The Assistant Chef will support the Chef while preparing nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced meals, tailored to residents' individual dietary needs and preferences.
Beyond assisting to prepare great food, you will encourage feedback from residents to support the Catering team's learning and development endeavours.
Accountant
Role purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, prepare accurate financial reports, monitor transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a sound understanding of accounting principles.
As part of a growing organisation, the Accountant will play a key role in establishing robust financial systems, managing cash flow and expenditure, supporting management decision-making and ensuring the business maintains strong financial discipline as it grows.
